DEVELOPMENT

Development

St Mary’s Calne has provided an outstanding education to thousands of girls and young women since 1873, and since the 1940s, to younger girls and boys at St Margaret’s Prep. We are ambitious for both our pupils and our schools. Looking ahead to our next 150 years, our aim is to increase the bursaries we offer and further improve our facilities ensuring our pupils develop the skills to thrive in our changing world.

Supporting future generations through generosity, vision and community

Development

Life-changing opportunities for young people

As we look to our next 150 years and beyond, our ambition is to continue to innovate, to further improve our facilities and provide more life changing bursaries. The Calne Foundation Trust (CFT) works alongside the school to realise our development and fundraising goals.

Our current plans include improving facilities for STEM and technology teaching and learning, as well as providing additional performance and exhibition space for creative arts, realised through major project capital campaigns.

At the same time, we want to increase the number of bursaries we can offer through the generous support of regular and one-off donations as well as fundraising events.

Development

Real change, enduring impact

The generosity of our community is reflected in every corner of our campus. From vibrant outdoor spaces like the Early Years’ Courtyard and the tranquil Lime Kiln Garden, to landmark facilities including the award-winning St Mary’s Calne Library, our state-of-the-art Sports Centre climbing wall and a full-size Astroturf pitch, these spaces inspire our pupils every day.

Our bursary programme extends this impact, enabling more young people to access a Calne education. Calne bursaries provide more than just financial support, they open the door to life changing opportunities and success academically, professionally and personally.

Development

Support that creates lasting change

The support of our donors helps shape brighter futures. Through donations, legacies, events and scholarships, every contribution to The Calne Foundation Trust and our schools supports life-changing education, expands opportunity and empowers future generations to thrive.

Being involved

We rely on the support of our parents, alumnae and wider community to realise our ambitious plans.

As well as supporting us financially, our community helps us through sharing professional expertise as we plan and develop projects, by attending careers events for our pupils, hosting and attending events as well as networking and communicating.

We would love to hear from you if you are able to help us with any of our projects, to donate or offer support in any other way.
